Description

1. The VL6180X utilizes the timeofflight (ToF) principle to implement a proximity sensor. It incorporates a SPAD detector array that measures the time taken for a single photon to travel from the target and back, combined with amplitude calculations, to determine the actual distance. This capability ensures accurate distance measurement regardless of the object's reflectivity and enables simple yet reliable onedimensional gesture control. 2. The ambient light sensor offers sensitivity and precision even in very low light conditions, with a wide dynamic detection range and Luxcorrected output. All components supporting the proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are integrated into a single optical package. The embedded design eliminates the need for mechanical spacers or additional lens systems. 3. The VL6180X is a 3in1 optoelectronic device that combines an infrared verticalcavity surfaceemitting laser (VCSEL), a proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor (ALS). 4.
