Either way works fine but you are always left with some ugly space around the cables after installation. The Cable Grommet has a billet frame with a 7/16inch thick rubber grommet in it. Simply drill 4 holes in the corners of the frame and fasten in place with the included hardware. Application: For 92-00 . For 94-01 . For K-Series motors,such as K20 K20a2 K20z(DC2/EG/EK, or RSX Box) Great for race and anywhere shifter cables are passed through a firewall.
