The potting mix is structurally stable and very long-lasting. Instructions for use: Regular repotting at intervals of no more than two years is particularly advisable for orchids. The chemical properties of the orchid substrate change due to the salts introduced with the watering. Wear gardening gloves. Indoors: 1-2 days before repotting, it is recommended to water the orchid thoroughly and, if necessary, fertilize it lightly. This makes it easier to place the slightly moist roots into the new, somewhat larger pot. Carefully remove the orchid from its pot and separate the old substrate from the roots. The roots may need to be gently pulled apart to do this. Dead or rotten roots can be removed. Carefully place the orchid into the previously cleaned, transparent pot with a gentle twisting motion and gradually fill with COMPO BIO GRANUPLANT® orchid substrate until the new shoots are just touching the substrate. Orchids can be watered by immersion or by watering as needed. Remove any excess water from the saucer after a short time. The water used should be low in lime (rainwater is ideal) and preferably at room temperature. Fertilizing: We recommend COMPO BIO GRANUPLANT® plant fertilizer. Alternatively, use a conventional liquid fertilizer, such as COMPO COMPLETE plant fertilizer, at half the recommended dose. Application period: February to November.
