Eco-Premium self-priming centrifugal pump120W-350WPlease prime your pump before first use. Indeed, you must add water to the pre-filter of your pump, when it is not filled with water. After putting a swimming pool back into service in the spring or installing a new pump, for example. (When full of water, the pump effectively primes itself.) The presence of water in the pre-filter allows the lubrication of the mechanical seal, thus making it possible to seal the hydraulic part and the electrical part of the pump. If there is no water in the pre-filter, the pump motor may overheat, leading to permanent damage to the pump.
