Lighting: Use special lighters or firewood, but never alcohol, petrol or newspaper, as these can explode or release toxic fumes. Air supply: Provide sufficient air supply to ensure clean and complete combustion. Observation: Stay in the room during lighting and operation and keep an eye on the flame. Safety: Only touch hot parts with protective gloves and talk to children and pets about the dangers. When setting up spark protection plate: A spark protection plate made of non-combustible material (glass, metal, stone) must be placed on combustible floors, which protrudes at least 50 cm in front of the furnace opening and 30 cm to the sides. Safety distances: Pay attention to the prescribed distances to flammable walls and furniture. Maintenance and legal Regular maintenance: Have your stove and chimney checked and serviced by a specialist once a year.
