Description

Kukicha is Japanese green tea. It comes from the flavorful twigs of the second or third harvest. The flavor is strong with an umami aftertaste. Kukicha is harvested using traditional techniques in Japan. The most delicious kukicha is made with water at 75°C. Relax with a cup of hot tea and a handful of delicious Japanese cookies. It is recommended to use 1 teaspoon of kukicha per 250 ml of water. Prepare kukicha in the traditional Japanese way: warm a cup of tea with hot water. Place the kukicha in a tea strainer in a teapot and pour water at approximately 85°C–90°C. Infuse for 1–2 minutes. If you pour twice, let the tea infuse for another 30 seconds. After opening, store tightly in a dry, dark place at room temperature (max. 20°C).
