Leather Roughening File for Preparing Surfaces Before Gluing, 4mm

A Leatherworking Rasp for Clean Surface Preparation This polishing rasp is designed specifically for working with leather surfaces, helping you prepare edges and create a roughened texture before applying adhesive. The 4 mm cutting depth makes it well suited to DIY leather projects where a reliable, consistent finish matters. Secure Grip for Comfortable Control The handle features a concave surface with a non-slip finish, so it sits comfortably in the hand and stays put while you work. The ergonomic shape supports a natural grip, which is especially useful during longer sessions or when applying firm, even pressure across the leather. Hardened Steel Construction for Reliable Use Made from high-quality steel and heat-treated for added hardness, this rasp is built to handle regular use without losing its edge. The deep file grooves cut efficiently through rough leather surfaces, making light work of preparation tasks such as edge bevelling, surface texturing and keying up areas before gluing. Improved Adhesion for Stronger Results By creating a consistent roughened surface, the rasp helps adhesive bond more effectively to the leather. This makes it a practical tool for repairs, resizing and other projects where a secure join is essential. Whether you are working on straps, belts, bags or other leather goods, this rasp offers dependable performance for everyday workshop use.
