Natural Marseille rectangular soap enriched with almond oil, so extra kind to the skin All soaps are handmade in the workshops of Le Chatelard 1802 in St Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Due to the pH neutral formula, these soaps do not dry out the skin. They are a source of intense hydration and softness. The soaps are delicately scented with flowers, fruits and other natural ingredients giving rich foam that nourishes, hydrates and is deliciously scented. This 100% natural soap is made in the traditional way by mixing water from the Mediterranean Sea with olive oil, with or without other vegetable oils, sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide. This mixture is heated in a large cauldron for several days, stirring constantly. This gives it plenty of time to 'ripen', after which it is poured into moulds for further hardening. When the soap is still soft, it is already cut into the right shape and stamped. The whole process can take up to a month.
