Description

The Thnot palm is an iconic Cambodian tree. This sugar is an unrefined artisanal product obtained by the natural evaporation of the sap from the palm's flowers. Palm blossom sugar is extracted from the upper part of the palm tree where the flowers grow. A small cut is made there, from which the juice drips out. It has a paler color than coconut sugar and has more nuanced flavors, making it suitable for all types of dishes. It's sweet, but doesn't have the unique sweetness of refined sugar; instead, it has much richer notes of wine, nuts, fruit, and more. Store in a cool, dry, odor-free place. FR-BIO-01
