High-quality processed chain pendant "Thorshammer" made of 925 sterling silver. The hammer is partially blackened and ornately decorated. The eyelet is decorated with a stylized raven's head. Importance of the motifs: The Thorshammer is also known as Thorhammer, Mjölnir or Mjollnir. According to Norse mythology, Mjölnir was the magical weapon of the thunder god Thor. Hurled against its enemies, the hammer never missed its target and always returned to the hand of its owner. it stands as a symbol of strength and energy. This special model is the interpretation of a Viking Age find from the southern Swedish province of Skåne and is therefore also referred to as a scant hammer. The raven motif is very popular on thor hammers, because according to mythology, the father of the gods Odin had two ravens, Hugin and Munin. He sent them out daily to explore so that they could tell him everything that was going on on Earth. The raven was therefore considered a symbol of knowledge.
