Pendant 30 Wolf - Stainless Steel

Sculpted wolf made of stainless steel. The pendant is partially blackened on the front and back. The bail is located at the top of the snout. Please note: The hind leg on the back is not blackened, but smoothly polished (see photo). Dimensions: approx. 37 mm high x approx. 17 mm wide x approx. 12 mm thick Bail inner diameter: approx. 2 mm Weight: approx. 16 g The pendant comes with a black cotton cord. Background: According to Norse mythology, Odin owned two wolves: Geri and Freki (the Greedy and the Gluttonous). According to the Edda, Odin gave his wolves all the food served to him in Valhalla, as he himself only drank mead. But Odin's fate is also closely linked to another wolf: In the world-ending conflagration Ragnarök, the Allfather is devoured by Fenrir, the giant Fenris wolf. Like ravens, wolves were also considered beasts of the battlefield by the Vikings.
