Description

Artfully designed pendant "Green Man" made of 925 sterling silver. The main motif is framed by a crescent moon decorated with Celtic knots and a pentagram. The pendant is partially blackened on the front. Dimensions: approx. 27 mm Diameter Inner dimensions of the eyelet: approx. 7 mm high x approx. 4 mm wide Weight: approx. 5 g The pendant comes with a black cotton ribbon. Background: The depiction of a male face with hair and beard made of leaves is a symbol of nature and earthiness. The leaf faces are probably of Celtic origin, but since the Middle Ages they have served as decoration for a wide variety of buildings, from fountains to cathedrals. Celtic knots have neither beginning nor end and therefore serve as a symbol of infinity or eternity. The pentagram is one of the most important magical symbols. With the tip pointing upwards, it is generally considered a protective sign.
