Solid iron cross made of shiny pewter, including tin link chain. The pendant is partially blackened, so that the design comes into its own. Material: Tin / Shiny Pewter Dimensions of the pendant: approx. 40 mm high x approx. 35 mm wide Length of the chain: approx. 70 cm Closure of the chain: Jewelry carabiner made of tin total weight pendant + chain: approx. 58 g Background: The Iron Cross was awarded as a war decoration in 1813 by the Prussian King Frederick William III. In 1914, Kaiser Wilhelm II renewed the foundation of the Order. Today, the EC can be seen as the national emblem of the Bundeswehr on all vehicles of the German military.
