Portable passive magnetic loop antenna compatible with HF and VHF (simple)

This is a highly portable passive HF/VHF loop antenna designed compatible with receivers with very low AF/MDS, such as the Airspy HF+ Discovery. It also works to some extent with the RTL-SDR V3 in direct sampling mode when RTL AGC is enabled. However, compatible with radios without very low MDS specifications, the signals can be amplified with an external, inexpensive RF amplifier or even our wideband LNA.The YouLoop design is based on the Möbius loop concept, where a symmetrical electrical shield serves as the center of a loop with multiple turns. The remaining turns run within the shield. This design is electrically symmetrical compatible with long wavelengths, i.e., when the wavelength (λ) is very large compared to the antenna size. This helps suppress electrical noise in the lower bands, precisely where most of the electrical noise energy is concentrated, and protects this electrical balance from interference by the transmission line.
