TTL to RS485 Converter Module with Automatic Flow Direction Control This TTL to RS485 converter module provides a straightforward way to connect TTL-level devices to an RS485 bus, with automatic flow direction control removing the need for manual switching. It is well suited to industrial control, instrumentation and other serial communication projects where reliable data transfer over longer distances matters. Designed with the 485 bus in mind, the module incorporates lightning protection and anti-interference circuitry to support stable operation in demanding environments. For outdoor or long-distance transmission, connecting the module's earth terminal to a proper earth ground helps maintain dependable performance. The board uses a standard 2.54 mm pin header, making it easy to integrate into your existing designs or use with breadboards and prototyping setups. An onboard 120 ohm matching resistor can be enabled by shorting R0, which is recommended for long-distance transmission to reduce signal reflections and improve communication quality. The module supports multi-drop communication, allowing at least 40 nodes to be connected on the same network. This makes it a practical choice for building distributed monitoring or control systems where several devices need to share a single RS485 bus.
