This Choice basic mechanical room thermostat is an economical and simple-to-use solution for controlling room temperature. This 2-wire mechanical thermostat is easy to install and features volt-free contacts, making it compatible with systems using either a combination boiler or standard boiler. For 3-wire installations, simply cut back and insulate the neutral wire; this 2-wire thermostat will then provide reliable performance over many years. Designed for straightforward automatic ON/OFF control of heating systems, it operates by sensing air temperature—activating the heating when temperatures drop below the set point and deactivating once the desired temperature is reached.
